After the fallout within Cash Money Records towards the end of 2014, Hip Hop heads haven’t known what to expect from the collective since. However, one thing hasn’t change and that is the fact that Cash Money/Young Money still puts out great music. One look at Billboard’s charts will provide you the evidence. Now that Drizzy season is amongst us and the release of his Views album has already topped charts, Hip Hop heads are now waiting for the moment to see the squad team up for some new collabs. Ladies and gentlemen, that moment is here…
Below you can find the official remix to Drake’s “Hype.” The original single is a standout track from his already platinum Views album. The new remix features Lil Wayne and with that being said, it is straight heat.
A few weeks into the new year and it looks like some people are willing to leave a few things in 2015. Now we can officially add the beef between Wayne and Birdman to that list. Last night at LIV nightclub in Miami, apparently Lil Wayne and Birdman put an end to their beef. In the video below you can hear Birdman attest to his love for Wayne saying,
This my motherf*cking son, and I’mma die for him, I’mma live for him, and I’mma motherf*cking kill for him. That ain’t gonna never change, n*gga. It’s YMCMB for life.”
Of course we all know that the beef between these two got very serious and heated at times. We also can’t forget that lawsuits were filed and bullets were fired. So…can Weezy and Birdman honestly move forward and forget the events that took place last year? Does this mean that Wayne will finally drop Tha Carter V? I guess time will only tell…so stay connected with us as this story is sure to develop soon.
Drake is bringing it to “Back to Back” on Meek Mill with his latest diss track. The “Back to Back” freestyle is a problem and Hip Hop listeners are now waiting in great anticipation for Meek to bring the solution. By now, everyone is in the loop on this Hip Hop beef, but here is a quick run down.
*Last week, Meek accused Drake of having a ghost writer.
Over the weekend, Drake responded by dropping “Charged Up” diss.
Meek called the diss, “Baby lotion soft.”
Monday, Meek was scheduled to drop a diss track via Hot 97, but he never did.
The Pinkprint Tour hit Toronto, Meek hit the stage with the words “F*ck You” on the screen behind him.
Today, Drake unleashes “Back to Back” diss.
*This actually did not happen first, but only Drake and Meek know what actually started the rift between these two emcees.
Today, Drake looked for the “checkmate” move as he dropped his new diss track, which you can hear below.
Apparently shortly after the “Back to Back” diss was released someone started a gofundme.com account to help Meek Mill record his Drake diss track. That’s how important it is for Meek to respond at this point.
There is even a newly developed website, SaveMeekMill.com, which is set up to help build Meek’s brand by collecting donations to buy school supplies for the youth in Meek’s hometown of Philadelphia. However, don’t let the positive mission statement fool you. The website states, “We strive to inspire the youth into different career paths other than being the type of rapper Meek Mill once glorified. We will save the youth from any future embarrassment caused at the hands of their rap adversaries when they find themselves in a beef — inspired by the one Meek Mill is currently losing to Drake. How? By inspiring them to not be like Meek Mill at all.”
The ball is in your court Meek. You’re down in points, but it’s your possession. So what are you going to do? The clock is ticking…
We still may be a little confused on whether Drake’s latest project is actually an album or a mixtape, but in either case his unexpected release debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200. If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late did better than any other release this year, aside from Taylor Swift’s 1989.
According to Billboard, the OVO delegate sold 495,000 copies during the first week. It was a slight disappointment because of its predicted 500,000 sales target, but at the end of the day it was a huge win for Drizzy.
Many people believed that Drake would have released this project for free, however, with it going retail it may have been a ploy by Drake to speed up his departure time from Cash Money Records. Drake is still diligently hard at work on his album, Views From The 6, which will be out later this year, and will reportedly be the final release needed to meet his 5 album deal with Birdman and Cash Money Records.
Stay tuned to the drama known as Cash Money Records by staying connected with The Roundtable Empire. #TakeASeatAtTheTable

Amidst all of his Cash Money drama Lil Wayne has still found the time to keep putting music on the streets and in your speakers. This time Weezy teams up with R&B crooner August Alsina for the official remix of “Kissin On My Tattoos”. This track is Alsina’s first release of the year.
Valentines day may have come and gone, but that doesn’t mean that the romance has to go too. Take some time to sit with your boo thang and listen to the remix above.
Tyga’s album The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty has been pushed back more times than LeBron James’ hairline, but that still has not stopped him from doing what he does best. That’s collaborating with his cohort Chris Brown to put out certified bangers. The duo are set to release their joint album February 24th and you can expect to see guest appearances from everybody from Ty Dolla Sign to 50 Cent. To launch their joint project, Chris Brown & Tyga released their video to “Ayo” today.
“Ayo” has already broken into the Top 40 on Billboard. This is nothing new for the duo as this marks the third time that Tyga & Breezy have cracked the Top 40. Watch Chris Brown & Tyga’s visual to “Ayo” below and peep the cameo by funny man Mike Epps.
G.O.O.D. Music artist Big Sean has paid his dues and now he is demanding the respect of Hip Hop listeners. His bars are evolving and he is dropping hit after hit, with his most recent banger “IDFWU” officially going platinum this week. In this same week Big Sean dropped what some people are calling “the verse of the year” with his feature on Meek Mill’s “B-Boy” and he also revealed the title of his third studio album Dark Sky Paradise, which will be released on February 24th.
What else can I say other than the boy is on fire right now? And to add fire to his flame, Big Sean releases yet another certified banger. His latest track, “Blessings”, features YMCMB’s Drake and Big Sean’s mentor Kanye West…need I say more?
It’s cold out there people, so be sure to warm up with this heater by Big Sean. Listen to “Blessings” featuring Drizzy Drake and Yeezus below.
For weeks now Lil Wayne has been apologizing for the delay of his Tha Carter V album. Tonight the YMCMB capo takes his apologies even further by dropping his Sorry 4 The Wait2 mixtape. Weezy fans were very hopeful that Wayne would release this mixtape to hold them over until his new album surfaces, and he did just that. Mixtape Weezy is back and he is back with a vengeance.
Sorry 4 The Wait 2 features brand new Weezy freestyles over some of 2014’s biggest bangers. Finally Wayne can stop apologizing for the wait, because he’s just dropped this year’s hottest mixtape to date. However, don’t take my word for it. Stream Sorry 4 The Wait 2 below and let us know what you think by commenting below.
Lil Wayne is known for his crazy work ethic and because of that he can typically be heard all over the radio, but lately Lil Wayne has been pretty quiet. It is clearly evident that Weezy’s current struggles with Birdman and Cash Money Records have been a huge distraction for him, leaving Hip Hop listeners with no new Lil Wayne music. Well folks, Weezy is back to making some noise as he drops a remix to Future’s 2013 banger, “Sh!t.”
Fans are hoping that this track is the green light to Wayne’s second installment of Sorry 4 Tha Wait. He released the first installment of Sorry 4 Tha Wait as fans grew impatient waiting for his last album, Tha Carter 4, to drop. Once again Wayne finds his fans at the edges of their seats in anticipation of his delayed Tha Carter V album. With that being said, Wayne releasing a follow up to Sorry 4 Tha Wait seems appropriate.
Listen To Weezy destroy this Mike Will Made It instrumental while you keep an ear to the street, because this track may just be the beginning to something special. Check out the latest by Lil Wayne below and let us know what you think.
