Pusha T has been teasing his sophomore studio album for quite some time now. With the recent news of Pusha being named the new president of G.O.O.D. Music, we could almost feel that something special was in the making. The wait is finally over. Pusha T recently got together with fellow Virginia native Timbaland to create a tough single titled “Untouchable.”
The new track highlights a sampling of the late great Notorious B.I.G.
Listen to the new track by Pusha T below and let us know if you think this emcee is as the title suggests, “Untouchable.”
As members of the Clipse, Pusha T and his brother Malice were best known for the group’s breakthrough hit “Grindin.” Over ten years later and Pusha is still “grindin,” from the release of his debut solo album, My Name Is My Name, to being featured on countless tracks. Now things are coming full circle for Pusha T as Billboard announced this morning that the Virginia native, born Terrence Thornton, has been announced as the new President of G.O.O.D. Music.
Pusha is brand new to the position, but is already thinking to the future. He spoke briefly this morning about the new opportunity and about helping to develop younger artists like Kacy Hill, G.O.O.D.’s newest signee.
I just look at capitalizing on everything that I feel like G.O.O.D. Music brings to the music industry, our following, and the culture. First of all, we have incredible artists. It’s definitely about getting those albums out in a very manicured fashion. We have great artistic talent that sort of walk the lines of bringing that excitement back in regards to just the art that goes along with it like DONDA, the merch and things like that.
Now that Pusha T is set to make an even bigger impact in Hip Hop, can we finally ask the question we have all been wondering, “What the hell happened to Malice?” Seriously, what happened to that boy?
