Recently, Lua Proc has been putting a lot of work in, so it’s more than fitting for his breakout track to be titled “Work.” The new song/video features Baton Rouge, Louisiana emcee Kevin Gates. The visual for work, which was directed by Dorin “StarrNamedMarr” Williams and James “RuffBone” White, was recently premiered on BET Jams. Today you can check out the official “Work” video right here at The Roundtable Empire.
In this video you can find both Lua Proc and Gates in Proc’s hometown of Pittsburgh riding the Stevie B produced beat with ease. Watch the new video by Lua Proc below and be sure to let us know what you think by connecting with us via Facebook and/or Twitter.
The Roundtable Empire recently caught up with Pittsburgh rap artist Lua Proc and we spoke about his passion for Hip Hop, his most recent experiences, and what is next for the talented emcee.
Paul “Lua Proc” Harris is a product of the Steel City. Born in the early 80’s, Proc has watched as the Rap scene has evolved over the years and now feels that he is what the game is missing.
In 1997, at the age of seventeen, Proc found himself as part of the street team for a local record label. “I was just doing everything I could to help that label,” said Lua Proc. “I wasn’t too much into the rapping then.” However, as things did not go as planned for Proc he decided to put his time and energy into creating his own path and started to push his own music. “My mom used to play all that music back in the day when I was a little kid. I’ve always loved poetry, so I was always a poet. I just always loved to make things rhyme and express how I felt about certain things. It was also a good way to tell my life story. That’s what made me really want to do it,” said Lua Proc.
Proc describes his sound as a combination of the streets, the trap, the club, and the radio. His musical influences are Tupac, the Notorious B.I.G., Rick Ross, and Kevin Gates.
The Pittsburgh Hip Hop scene is buzzing right now and Western Pennsylvania is currently on deck to hit the national rap scene hard. “It’s time for us all to get together and start making it happen,” said Proc.

A visual for the record is soon to drop, but for now you can watch the trailer to “Work” below.
