[Hot New Music!] Joe Budden – “Making A Murderer” & “Wake” (Drake Disses)

NEW YORK, NY - OCTOBER 28: Cast member Joe Budden appears at the VH1 "Love & Hip Hop" Season 4 Premiere at Stage 48 on October 28, 2013 in New York City. (Photo by Brian Ach/Getty Images for Vh1)

Well…it’s summer 16 and while we haven’t heard much from Drake thus far, we have heard an awful lot about him, thanks to fellow emcee Joe Budden. Six days ago the Slaughterhouse rapper shook up the industry with his Drake diss entitled “Making A Murderer.”

With no reply from Drake and the days passing by, Joey decided to go back 2 back on Drizzy and drop some more ether.

His latest dagger is called “Wake” and it is a continuation of heavy heated bars aimed at the Toronto rapper.

Now that Joey has pushed Drizzy from the offense to the defense, let’s see what kind of response, if any, we will get from Drake.

Things are about to get very interesting…all summer 16.

[Hot New Music!] Vain – “Hello” (Exclusive Interview)

Screen Shot 2016-07-05 at 6.57.34 PM

Queens-based rapper Vain has paid his dues and now it’s time to pay homage to the emcee.  The underground hustler has a gem on his hands with his latest single entitled “Hello.”  The new track is already catching fire on radio with spins on Sirius XM’s Shade 45, New York’s Power 105 FM, and more.

To truly appreciate Vain and what he brings to the game, you have to respect his journey.  To respect his journey, you have to understand his hustle.

Since making a name for himself in New York back in 2006, the NY native has opened for Hip Hop greats like the Wu Tang Clan, Snoop Dogg, and DMX.  He’s also collaborated with mainstream artists like Tony Yayo of the G Unit, Fabolous, Slim of 112 and more.

“My first record hit radio in New York in 2006, but I’ve been rapping since I was 9-years-old,” Vain said.  “My mother used to make me do old school records on stage.  I used to perform at the parks and do all of that stuff.  I was just one of those kinds of kids.”

From there Vain would embark on a journey that would soon include awards and accolades, but it wasn’t until he went to college that he would truly push himself. “My mother was pushing me like ‘Yo you need to do this music.'”

In 2006, Vain’s “Toss Da Paper” landed on the radio.  “That’s how I really got started, and I haven’t stopped since,” Vain said. “It’s your ambition after a while.  It just keeps driving you and driving you.”

Hello Cover copy

Vain defines his sound as educated street music.  “I’m going to give listeners more of what I grew up listening to,” Vain said. “There was more substance to it. It would give you a gauge of what was really going on in the streets.”

The New York emcee’s music is influenced by rappers like Tupac, Nas, Canibus, Jay Z, and 50 Cent.

During his musical journey he has worked and collaborated with some major artists and Hip Hop vets.  “I got records with Jim Jones, Red Cafe, Slim from 112, Lil Mo, Tony Yayo, the legendary Jazzy Joyce, and I’ve opened up for a lot of major artists,” said the Queens-bred emcee.

“All of this work that I have put in has me to this point right now,” Vain said.   He is currently gearing up to release a new mixtape and has been heating up with the project’s debut single “Hello.”  The new single has found a spot on the charts as it appears in the top 115 songs on urban radio in the country.

“Come see me on social media,” Vain said.  “Everything is ‘Its Vain’.” “Follow me and you can see me ballin’ out.  I be in the clubs.  I be at the radio stations.  Come check out my life.  I be playin’ sports, I be liftin’ weights, I be eatin’ good,” Vain said laughing.

Check out Vain’s new record “Hello” below and listen for him as he is scheduled to appear on the radio with DJ Self and also on “Sway in the Morning.”

[Hot New Music!] Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa & Imagine Dragons w/ Logic & Ty Dolla Sign ft. X Ambassadors – “Sucker For Pain”

lil-wayne-imagine-dragons-wiz-khalifa-sucker-for-pain-ty-dolla-ign-logic-x-ambassadors

Things are getting a little eerie with the new track entitled “Sucker For Pain,” which makes perfect sense for the Suicide Squad soundtrack single.  “Sucker For Pain” features a Suicide Squad in their own right.  The all-star feature list includes Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Logic, and Ty Dolla Sign.

I’m not sure about any suicides, but this fiery foursome murdered this track.  Each emcee added the proper dosage to make this track sick. Not to mention, Imagine Dragons and X Ambassadors adding the needed element to take this song to it’s darkest place.

The Suicide Squad soundtrack drops August 5th, the same day the film is due in theaters. The Soundtrack features appearances by Skrillex, Rick Ross, Action Bronson, Kevin Gates, Kehlani, G-Eazy, Skylar Grey, and Eminem.

[Hot New Music!] The Game – “Death Row Chain” (Streets Of Compton)

The-Game-Sticks-Up-For-Drake-On-Instagram

Last week, the Streets Of Compton documentary series premiered via cable network A&E.  The docu sheds light on Compton’s rich yet turmoiled history of drugs, violence, and political propaganda.  The three-part series also explains the connection between the city’s history and its culture.  One major piece of the culture is most certainly Hip Hop.  Check out the new song entitled “Death Row Chain” by The Game below.

A soundtrack is to accompany the docu series and Game is taking lead.  The soundtrack, which is sure to be some serious heat, is set to drop June 17th.
