Still riding the Royalty wave, Chris Brown delivers yet another remix to his bedroom mannered hit “Back To Sleep.” For this sexy encounter he brings out August Alsina, Trey Songz, and Miguel. Each singer drops in and gets right to business.
Back in February Breezy released the Usher and Zayn featured remix, which would make his second remix of”Back To Sleep.” But don’t be surprise if Brown drops a third remix. Rumors have already spread about a third remix featuring Bryson Tiller, Tyrese, and Tank.

Earlier this week the Hip Hop community took a huge loss with the passing of legendary Queens emcee Phife Dawg. Phife, a founding member of the super group A Tribe Called Quest, passed away due to complications stemming from his diabetes. The entire Hip Hop community came together to mourn it’s loss once the news got out about Phife’s passing. Several artists decided to embrace the loss and take those feelings out in the studio, paying tribute to the gone-too-soon emcee.
One artist in particular was Pittsburgh’s Wiz Khalifa. Wiz, who can probably partially credit his laid back flow to Phife, has recently released a remix of A Tribe Called Quest’s classic, “Electric Relaxation.” Listen to the Steel City native’s version of the Hip Hop classic cut below. Also take note that Wiz is actually the second Pittsburgh emcee this week to pay tribute to Phife. Former label mate and frequent collaborator Mac Miller dropped a Larry Fisherman tribute the very same day of Phife’s passing. You can also vibe to the Mac Miller tribute further below.
Wu Tang affiliate Andre Roxx has filed a lawsuit against all news outlets that had falsely reported that he had cut his own penis off and attempted suicide. In 2014 a reporting error was made and Marques Johnson aka Andre Roxx suffered as a result. His name and image was tarnished as reports spread that he had castrated himself and attempted suicide. Roxx’ identity was mistaken and actually confused with another Wu Tang affiliate by the name of Christ Bearer, legal name “Andre Johnson.”
News outlets from TMZ to USA Today falsely reported the story and used Andre Roxx name and image. This all occurred while Andre Roxx was serving time behind bars and had no way to clear his name. The Roundtable Empire caught up with Roxx today to speak about the importance of his current lawsuit. “I have spent the better part of my life building a reputation as an artist. It is not perfect but everything it holds good and bad I had earned, until this story broke. I have no problems paying for my own sins but the sins of others is too heavy a weight. I want the name I earned back, nothing more, nothing less,” said Andre Roxx.
Stay tuned to The Roundtable Empire for further developments of this story…
We all know that it is hard out here for a pimp, thanks to Terrence Howard’s role in “Hustle & Flow.” To celebrate and applaud the mack game and their efforts, A$AP Rocky linked up with ATL’s own Waka Flocka Flame to release a new track titled “Goldie Mack.” The new song is about two minutes long and definitely worth the listen. The A$AP Mob frontman and Brick Squad member cruise over the 808 Mafia-produced track, touching on the impact made by the real Goldie, all while demonstrating their emcee skills on the mic.
With A$AP Rocky’s dope bars cut with metaphors and Waka’s vibrant sound, you’ll surely be left looking for more after this one. So go ahead and put this one on repeat. Check it out below.
We haven’t heard too much noise coming from Jeezy’s corner since the release of Church in These Streets late last year, however, it appears that this is soon to change. The Atl rapper is back, this time around with a single called “Gotta Be A Man.” The track is set to appear on the soundtrack to Saints & Sinners, a new drama soon to appear on Bounce TV.
The soundtrack is scheduled to drop on March 25th and features other artists like Big Boi, Lecrae. and Kelly Price. Listen to the new Jeezy cut below.
Rapper Lua Proc got on base last year with his hit single “Work” featuring Kevin Gates. Now the Pittsburgh emcee is looking to score as he goes back-to-back with his latest single titled “Retarded.” Fresh off the success of his last single, Lua Proc gets an assist from G-Unit’s Young Buck on the track. The official video for “Retarded,” which can be seen below, is a short film that portrays both Lua Proc and Young Buck in street life fashion. The visual displays the gritty side of the game and how snitches most definitely get stitches.

Fat Joe and Remy Ma had everybody leaning back just a little over ten years ago. Now that the duo is back on the scene after Remy’s stint in incarceration, the emcees are planning to release a joint project titled, Platas o Plamo. The first single from the project has already been gifted to us. The track features a third Empire State rep, French Montana, and it’s titled “All The Way Up,” produced by Miami producer Edsclusive.
The new track definitely has the potential to be an early summer banger just like 2004’s “Lean Back”. No way to tell yet if “All The Way Up” will be another chart topper for Fat Joe & Remy Ma, but only time will tell and by adding a hot artist like French Montana we are sure to hear this track for weeks months to come. Listen to the new single below.
Pittsburgh emcee Chevy Woods is much more than a hypeman gone solo and his work ethic is proof of that. Since the release of his last mixtape, The 48 Hunnid Project, he has been putting in some work dropping weekly freestyles over the industry’s dopest records. To add fuel to his flame, the Taylor Gang artist has recently released a 4-track EP titled And The Story Goes…
The new EP is accompanied by a nice short film that features a music video for each song. And The Story Goes… has a nice vibe to it and also includes a verse from Styles P. The visual shares some images of Chevy’s hometown and a fresh perspective nonetheless. Watch the short film below and let us know what you think.
