Just two days after releasing a remix to her “No Sleep” single, Janet Jackson drops a video for the track. The visual features J. Cole and is directed by Dave Myers. Ms. Jackson (because I’m nasty) can be seen in the video in straight chill mode, reminiscing of a past love while mother nature plays the background. J. Cole does his part by putting on for Janet, spitting those cupid-like bars. The two play off each other very well as old-school meets new-school.
“I hope u enjoy watching this as much as we enjoyed making it,” Jackson says as the caption displayed on the video’s YouTube page.
“No Sleep” will be featured on Janet Jackson’s upcoming album this fall. The album will be Janet’s 11th LP. Her first release since 2008′s Discipline.
A recent bankruptcy filing by 50 Cent has sparked a whirlwind of hysteria in the entertainment industry and all who follow it. Now the self-proclaimed “King of New York” was quoted saying, “I take all of the jewelry and cars back to the stores.” Whoa!? A lot of onlookers had originally thought that Fif’s bankruptcy was a ploy to protect his assets from the $5 million he was ordered to pay in the case between him and Lastonia Leviston, the mother of Rick Ross‘ daughter. This case stemmed from a sex-tape of Leviston and a former boyfriend that 50 used in a parody to throw jabs at Rick Ross.
Now things are even taking a sharper turn as Curtis Jackson aka 50 Cent testified in a Manhattan courtroom yesterday that his jewelry and cars are all for show. Huh? Fif who was listed by Forbes Magazine as one of the top five richest Hip Hop artists with a net worth of $155 million is now saying that his lifestyle is only a mirage. During the hearing Jackson’s lawyer declares that his client is only worth $4.4 million dollars, which triggered his recent chapter 11 filing. When the Judge asked 50 about selling 38 million records, 50 replied, “I only make 10 cents a record.”
Either Fif is a better act than we ever knew or this is just another example of how treacherous this Hip Hop game can be. What do you think? Is 50 Cent deserving of an Oscar for his portrayal of a broke emcee or is he just another victim of the entertainment industry? On the brink of releasing his new album, Dirty Sprite 2, Future has the album’s “Where Ya At” track premiered by Beats Radio personality Zane Lowe. The song features Drake and is the lone song to actually host a feature. Earlier today on The Breakfast Club, Future spoke on the origins of this track and how the collaboration came about. Evidently, just before he was expected to submit the finished album, Drake called him up and voiced his interest in being a part of Dirty Sprite 2, and according to Future, he sent “Where Ya At” to Drake, and he quickly returned it with his verse that very same night.
Dirty Sprite 2 is a follow up to Future’s Dirty Sprite mixtape. The new album pays homage to Future’s earlier days and fans get to listen to Future return to his roots. Dirty Sprite 2 drops tomorrow, but you can listen to the new track today. Check out Future’s “Where Ya At” featuring Drake below.

We all know that a Drake feature does wonders for an up & coming artist. Now WizKid, RamRiddlz, and Roy Woods will all find out for themselves. Earlier in the week, Drake teased that there would be some exclusives dropping on his inaugural episode of OVO Sound Radio: Drake and Company’s Show on Beats Radio 1. Yesterday, Drake followed through with 3 new bangers (no solo records) that feature him and promote the underground sounds of OVO.
The 3 tracks are songs brought to us from two individual Toronto standouts and a Nigerian up & comer. Toronto singer RamRiddlz drops his Drake remixed “Sweeterman.” WizKid releases his hot single “Ojuelegba” which features Drake and popular Grime artist Skepta. Roy Woods also debuted his new record “Drama” featuring Drake. All of these tracks were premiered via OVO Sound Radio yesterday. Listen to all three records featuring Drizzy below.
The wait is finally over! Lil Wayne releases his highly anticipated album just in time to get the holiday started off proper. The back and forth between Weezy and Cash Money has culminated in a surprise release of his Free Weezy Album on TIDAL. Less than a month ago Wayne announced that he had signed a deal with Jay-Z. Well, that deal was actually a negotiation that made Wayne the newest co-owner of TIDAL
Today via TIDAL you can now stream the 15-track album that features Jeezy, Cory Gunz, Wiz Khalifa, Junior Reid, and more. For those who have been on the fence about joining the TIDAL wave, today is the perfect time for you to take advantage of the free trial. So far we have only had the opportunity to hear “Glory,” which I believe was Weezy setting the bar for this album. It can only get better from there, so listen to FWA and be sure to give us your feedback.
Before you get your fireworks popping tonight, get your party jumping now with Wayne’s Free WeezyAlbum.
Rihanna is clearly in a lane all by herself and at this point I just hope these b*tches got her money. After teasing onlookers at the 2015 BET Awards with a trailer for her latest single, “BBHMM” or “B*tch Better Have My Money,” RiRi finally drops the short film directed by Evan E. Rogers.
The explicit video shows Rihanna and friends getting gritty in an attempt to get the money that was embezzled from her. The “BBHMM” visual contains some bloody scenes, pot smoking, and even some nudity. Yes, there is a full frontal of Rihanna in this video, but it’s definitely not what you’re thinking.
The NSFW 7-minute video is truly a piece of art and surely a contender for video of the year.
Check out Rihanna’s new video below and enjoy the ride.
Fresh off of his invigorating performance of “Alright” at the 2015 BET Awards, Kendrick Lamar decides to drop a 7-minute visual to the single. The short film by Colin Tilley is very true to the song’s title. Filled with unembellished images of the police’s relationship with black America, “Alright” is a visual masterpiece. This visual takes Kendrick’s To Pimp A Butterfly standout track to all new levels.
Watch Kendrick Lamar’s piece of art below and let us know what you think.
